Thirty years ago, Murphy Brown won over our hearts, and now the show is back in the game as CBS announced its return to the small screens.
Candice Bergen may be 70 years old, but that doesn’t mean she is done with TV.
The show was a favorite of VP Dan Quayle, who even quoted it during the 1992 presidential campaign.
The Murphy Brown show became an interest of CBS right after President Donald Trump was inaugurated last year.
CBS promises more journalism excellence by Brown, while the show will be covering popular events of the day. This topic has become quite popular as of late, due to the mass battle between media outlets and the current political government.
Bergen recently came back to the spotlight, posting a snap on Instagram of herself and colleague Ali MacGraw having a blast in Italy.
Reruns of popular shows have become a
practice nowadays, with other big show names in TV history making a comeback as
well, including Will and Grace and Gilmore Girls.
