The documentary picture also shows the St Edward’s Crown, which was placed on the head of the Archbishop of Canterbury at the coronation. The Queen explained, that Crown had been reconstructed into smaller sizes in order to facilitate the long official process. But it hadn’t helped, anyway.
The Crown’s weight was no more, no less – 2lb 5oz, so the Queen confessed that she had almost gotten a spill, wearing it. ‘And you can’t look down to read the speech. It’s unbelievable burden for the back and neck.’ – she stated.
