Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira has found herself in a whole lot of trouble as Spanish authorities allegedly kicked off an investigation against her, on the grounds of tax evasion.
The tax evasion timespan in question happened from 2011 up to 2014.
Although Shakira spent most of her time out of the country, she was still legally obligated to pay her taxes.
If this turns out to be true, Shakira will have to spend some dollars from her total worth of $200.
This is not the first time this happened with the ‘She Wolf’ singer as she was investigated on the matter earlier.
Initially, Shakira’s place of residence was the Bahamas. However, since getting married to F.C. Barcelona player Gerard Piqué she decided to permanently transfer to the city.
Shakira and Gerard have two sons together.
Recently, news of their divorce sparked up on social media, but the two were spotted at an NBA game recently, looking happier than ever.
While her love life seems to be booming,
her economy is potentially facing a downfall.
