Life is very cruel to some people sometimes… However, sometimes it gives some unexpected and bright moments. 14-year-old Rebecca, suffering from cerebral palsy, had a chance to see her favorite singer Adele and to hear her voice in person. Unfortunately, the girl has died on Boxing Day this month.
Rebecca’s mum, Tracy Gibney, expected Adele to come visiting her daughter since 2016. She was trying to get in touch with managers of the celebrity and to draw her attention. Finally, she managed to.
The idol of the masses was deeply touched by Rebecca’s situation and decided to arrange this meeting. She came to see her little admirer after her concert in Belfast.
It is important to mention that the girl was a great fan of the singer. She couldn’t fall asleep without listening to her songs. No doubt, Adele’s visit gave her a lot of joy.
The grieving mother paid tribute to Rebecca. She told what wonderful child her daughter was, she was always bringing only bright feelings to everyone knowing her. Tracy wishes Rebecca to be with them forever if only it were possible and she’s very grateful to Adele for her big heart.
The girl’s funeral took place the 27 of December at 9.30 a.m. at St Matthew's Church. She’s buried at Roselawn Cemetery.
It should be
reminded that, besides cerebral palsy, Rebecca was suffering from epilepsy
and blindness. She passed away “peacefully at home surrounded by her loving
family”, as it is indicated in her death notice.
