Pop legend Madonna fired back in light of recent social media criticism, intended to body shame her daughter.
Although many celebrities have put an emphasis on the ongoing bullying trend on social media, not everyone speaks their mind quite like actress and singer Madonna.
Madonna has always been one of the most original, yet eccentric figures in the entertainment business. The ‘Vogue’ signer recently become a social media target after she posted a photo of herself and daughter Lourdes Leon, showcasing her bare and hairy armpits.
Also knows as Lola, Madonna’s oldest child has been working as a prominent model and already made a name for herself.
“We are ready for you 2018!” Madonna captioned the infamous photo posted on December 31.
It did not take long for the general population to explode in disgust and rage, throwing rocks at Lola’s decision to flaunt her hair body, which she doesn’t seem to have any problem with. Twitter and Instagram exploded in disapproval of the move, calling it not only disgusting, but repulsive and yucky as well.
“Lola you so gross,” one user commented.
“Not a good look like that! Is she a man,
disguised as a woman?” another followed.
“Is it possible to un-see a picture?” a third Twitter user rebelled.
Unlike the hateful comments, Madonna and Lourdes received plenty of support from both social media users and celebrities, who urged that the human body is nothing to be ashamed of.
Madonna is also keen on naturalism, posting photos of her hairy underarms on various occasions. Madonna decided to overlook the nasty remarks, but posted a meaningful message as an obvious response to the bullying.
“Oh wait! What was my New Year’s Resolution? Oh yeah. To give many less f**ks about what people think! #thinkforyourself #dontbeasheep #thecheesestandsalone,” Madonna captioned the photo of herself.
Kudos to you, legend, we have your back!
