Keira Knightley has been acting since she was just a child, so she achieved the fame very young. Recently, she was interviewed for Variety magazine.
Despite that, she also said in the interview that strong women with great stories are being portrayed in several films and series.
When asked about modern films, she said
that she doesn't like how woman are being currently portrayed, stating that the
characters are always at the verge of rape. She prefers doing historical female
characters with a strong story to tell the world, such as her next movie.
She's currently portraying the French novelist Colette in the upcoming biographical film of the same name. Its premiere is due to the next January 20th.
After taking a year off to take care of her
daughter, last year was very busy for her, as she is currently starring in
other three movies that are coming out this year.
