Cancer is a decease we cannot truly understand until ourselves or someone close to us is diagnosed with it, but it is impossible not to feel the painful reality of the decease when you see this touching pictures of 10 years old Drake Medinger, from Tomball – TX, who has cancer and is struggling with the effects of chemotherapy.
This picture was recently shared on Facebook by her own mother, Jessica and then shared by “Love What Matters” along with a large post about the fights and struggles of living with cancer.
“This morning I had to carry Drake on my arms to the bathroom”, wrote Jessica on the picture, “75% of the times he cannot control his bathroom habits. He is just skin and bones because I have to beg him to eat at least ONE pea at diner or a glass of water during the day.”
“I have to
take my son to bed a stay with him until he is asleep because he is afraid
something could happen to him while sleeping and being alone, and by
‘something’ I mean dying.”
Drake was diagnosed with leukemia back in 2012 and even when he won the battle on 2016, later on he was diagnosed with testicular cancer this time.
has been shared over 80,000 times, and “Love What Matters” prepared a PO BOX
just for letters and support messages people sends to Drake.
