This is the story of a young lady that was rejected by her surrounding because of her appearance. To this day, there are still people out there that discriminate others basing on how they look.
has their own way to be unique.
Cassandra Naud is from Canada. She was born with a condition called hypertrichosis, having as a result of it a big birthmark below her left eye.
Her birthmark was
the centre of several mean comments about her appearance, and because of that,
she wanted nothing more than getting a surgery so she could get rid of what she
called back then a “problem”.
But after some time, she decided to keep the birthmark. The reason? She said that she couldn't eliminate one of the biggest reasons of her uniqueness. Cassandra is currently a young lady of 22 who is also a professional dancer.
Despite the bullying that she had to live because of the condition of her
face, she decided to keep her birthmark.
Cassandra has said that she wouldn't imagine herself in any other way and that after all, the career that she chose actually requires being memorable, as she is dedicated to the world of the dance.
She also said that nowadays there are a lot of people out there who
are proud of themselves no matter how they look like. She wants to make everyone hear her message: you shouldn't be worried about something that doesn't really matter and you should be proud of how you look and what you are.
