There were times when Christa McKenna was famous for her outstanding achievements in acrobatics.
The girl shone on television and even received invitations to shoot for the Playboy magazine.
However, years went by, and age gradually took its toll: Crista's popularity had come to naught, and now she has to survive, using her talent for begging.
Now Criste is 63 years old. Most of her time she
spends on the streets of Grand Rapids, showing passers-by her flexibility and
earning a pittance to maintain the minimum necessary conditions for life.
In the 1970s, Crist was called
"Spider-Woman": she impressed spectators with amazing flexibility,
twisting her arms and legs in complex acrobatic figures.
The success of Crista began to grow pale when the
woman began to grow old: her name was less often called on the show, Playboy
canceled the contract with her, in other words, show business slowly, but
confidently said goodbye to the acrobat.
As a result, McKenna was in a depressing state -
deprived of money and fame, she was almost abandoned to the mercy of fate.
Today, people often see her on the streets of Grand
Rapids in Michigan. A woman sits with a sign on which it says: "I'm 60. I
need a job. God and you, please help me."
According to Christa, 7 dollars a day is already a
success. However, the woman still does not know how to be further, and whether
there are any bright prospects in her life.
