There are many prohibited themes in the world, but until a few years ago the maintaining of sexual relations during the period was one of the most important.
Many women use as a method of contraception to have sexual relationships while they are in the process of blood loss that occurs when the ovulatory cycle ends as a result of an egg not being fertilized.
This cycle is more commonly known as menstruation.
An ovum is released monthly by the woman on day 14 of the ovulatory cycle, according to Dr Hakakha.
"Prior to the release of the egg, the hormones in a woman's body increase to prepare (and thicken) the lining of the uterus in case the egg is fertilized and a pregnancy occurs. If there is no fertilization, the lining of the uterus is sloughed off about 14 days later. This is called your period."
The standard cycle takes place every 28 to 32 days, and if a woman who has this cycle and is in a period of 2 to 8 days decides to have an intimate relationship with someone there is no chance of being fertilized.
But don`t think that it is impossible for all
women to get pregnant during their menstruation cycle. It`s less likely but there`s
a possibility this occurs without a doubt.
"In less common scenarios, a woman with a shorter menstrual cycle (24 days, for example), could have seven days of bleeding, have intercourse on her final day of bleeding, and ovulate three days later. Since sperm live for three to five days, she could definitely get pregnant,” explains Dr. Hakakha.
It is also true that there are women who suffer bleeding due to disruption between her periods.
It is possible that
this will occur during your ovulation process and create confusion so it will
be difficult to determine the exact time of the menstrual cycle.
You may ask, then, “Do I loss if I do this?” No, it is unlikely, you shouldn`t be obsessive with this. Though you must be careful with your ovulatory cycle and know how long it takes, whether or not you can have intimate relationships during your period.
for reasons of hygiene and to keep infections away, the doctors recommend
avoiding any sex relationship.
