Paisley Morrison-Johnson is now 16 months old. When she was born, her parents were horrified. They haven’t seen anything like this in their entire lives.
The fact is that due to a malfunction in DNA, the baby had Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, a rare genetic disease that results in a number of complications, including gigantism, internal umbilical hernia, breathing problems, fat and muscle mass increase.
But Paisley had only one symptom – a huge tongue because of which she could even suffocate. That’s why she couldn’t even eat. Little girl was fed through a tube.
Her parents turned to doctors and they performed tongue reduction. But then something strange happened. The size of the tongue increased again. As a result the specialists sent the baby to the surgery for the second time. Paisley was removed 15 centimeters of her tongue.
smiled for the first time, nothing bothers her, and she even started eating by
herself, without tube. Her parents are so grateful to God for taking this misfortune
