Jaime Ciero, a Spanish international artist is suing Demi Lovato, Idina Menzel, and Disney.
He claims in the lawsuit that the Disney’s “Frozen” song is inspired by his song, “Volar.”
In furtherance to the obvious question “Is there enough to make a case,” Ciero says the song has precise similarities in note combinations, structures, lyrics, melodies, hooks, production, and textures.
“Volar” was recorded in 2008 and Ciero recalls it to be a huge international success reaching millions of listeners and achieving the most popular spot in several charts. The song also had attained the place of top performing songs.
If Ciero wins, the judgment would be a huge loss to Disney, Idina Menzel, who recorded the song for the movie and Demi Lovato, singer of the song and others.
Jaime Ciero is pretty serious about his claims as he wants a damage that concludes with consideration from the movie, the music, the marketing and anything that might have crossed him over.
“Volar” & “Let it go” do have striking similarities. Watch it yourself.
